RESULTS BUSINESS EXECUTION DISCIPLINES – PHASE 3 (Part 2)

Course Map

Results Business Execution Disciplines Course develops a variety of managing and business skills with specific focus on strategic planning and corporate culture, recruiting and retaining talent, leadership and supervising. In addition to that, the participants receive training in personal management skills (goal setting, organizational skills, time management, team work etc.)

The key element of the course is to create a consistent meeting rhythm for the leadership team and create a culture of accountability around execution.

Certificate of Completion:

Each participant is responsible for all readings, assignments and tasks and is evaluated upon completion of every module on a 100% scale.

Phase 3: Disciplined Process and Systems

Learning Objectives:

Develop simple yet effective processes and systems form the basis for consistent execution and predictable results. This phase will encompass a broad spectrum of business function from effective meeting rhythms, change management process, to business development practices.

Measuring Success:

In this phase key processes and systems must be implemented in a sustainable fashion;

  • Effective meeting rhythms that result in superb communication, decisions, and accountability.
  • Key Performance Indicators that predict both individual and corporate performance.
  • Process mapping to design, document and sustainably implement key processes.

Successful execution of this phase requires the following be accomplished;

  1. Meeting rhythms have been successfully implemented for 100% of employees, and they are used to reinforce the culture and vision, build team relationships, provide for healthy conflict, drive accountability, and keep a team on track with their goals;
    1. Daily Huddles where appropriate and effective.
    2. Weekly meetings where culture, execution progress, and accountability are emphasized.
    3. Quarterly town hall meetings are conducted by senior leaders with all employees, where the vision and strategic progress are discussed, and employees are engaged.
  2. Key Performance Indicators are defined at all levels of the organisation (individual, team, corporate), and are reviewed frequently (daily, weekly, monthly) to achieve high levels of accountability, adaptability and performance.
  3. Competence in process mapping exists at all levels of the organization and enables the correction of defective process, removal of unnecessary process, and creation of new process as required.

Processes and Systems

Key Performance Indicators (20 hr)

Objectives of this Execution Module:

  1. Assist a team or organization in the establishment of a set of KPI’s that will help transform business execution. This module will make use of all 3 pillars of the Results Canada business execution framework;
    1. Inspiration – guide the client in setting specific, inspiring goals
    2. Education – educate the client in the key aspects of a compelling strategic plan
    3. Execution – establish specific priorities and actions to jump-start the execution of their strategy

Meeting Rhythms (5 hr)

Objectives of this Execution Module:

  1. Assist a team or organization in the establishment of a set of effective meetings that will engage everyone in the business and align them for successful execution
  2. Complete audit of current meeting rhythms and identify gaps
  3. Create an action plan for rolling out new meeting rhythms
  4. Develop and publish a new company-wide meeting rhythm calendar
  5. Develop a process for implementing regular Town Hall Meetings to meet the following objectives:
    1. Reinforce the Vision and Culture
    2. Engage all employees in the strategic execution of the business
    3. Communicate progress, priorities and challenges

Process Management (15 hr)

Objectives of this Execution Module:

  1. Help business leaders view their organizations as collections of processes as much as they are collections of functions or people.
  2. Educate leaders about how new processes can be differentiators in industries (e.g. Dell)
  3. Have leadership teams identify the handful of core process that, if optimized and executed consistently, improve overall performance.
  4. Teach leaders how to document processes, both “as is” and “to be”.
  5. Ensure leadership groups can create appropriate performance measures for processes.
  6. Orient leaders to change initiatives involving process changes.
